Short description of Taiwan:
Mandarin is the chief language in the country even though many people also speak Taiwanese. English is also a language that is spoken in Taiwan and this language is usually a second language in most schools. About 15% of the population in Taiwan speaks Hakka. The main religions in the country are Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism. There are also many people who follow Christianity. The Taiwanese culture has been influenced by many cultures such as the Chinese and Japanese cultures. The National Palace Museum is one of the most popular attractions in Taiwan because there are about six hundred and fifty works of art here. Karaoke is very popular among the citizens of Taiwan and people common refer to it as KTV.
